SPIKED APPLE CIDER

This easy Spiked Cider recipe has been a big hit here at the Gallagher household this Christmas. It’s the perfect festive cocktail for the colder months and it’s sure to warm your guests spirits.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 Gallon Apple Cider

  • 2-3 cups of Bourbon (I use 3 - the more bourbon the better) - use whichever is your favorite, I used Jim Bean because dad wouldn’t let me use any of this nicer bourbon, understandably.

  • 1 Orange sliced

  • 1 Apple cubed

  • 3-4 Cinnamon Sticks

  • Whole Cloves

DIRECTIONS

1. Cut orange into thin slices, place several cloves into the brine of the two ends of the orange.
2. Cut apple into cubes.
3. In a large crock pot, combine all ingredients and place on high heat. You can do this on the stovetop if you don’t have a crockpot, however it’s nice to have it warm throughout the day when people come and go - plus it makes your kitchen smell delicious!
