SPIKED APPLE CIDER
This easy Spiked Cider recipe has been a big hit here at the Gallagher household this Christmas. It’s the perfect festive cocktail for the colder months and it’s sure to warm your guests spirits.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 Gallon Apple Cider
2-3 cups of Bourbon (I use 3 - the more bourbon the better) - use whichever is your favorite, I used Jim Bean because dad wouldn’t let me use any of this nicer bourbon, understandably.
1 Orange sliced
1 Apple cubed
3-4 Cinnamon Sticks
Whole Cloves
DIRECTIONS
1. Cut orange into thin slices, place several cloves into the brine of the two ends of the orange.
2. Cut apple into cubes.
3. In a large crock pot, combine all ingredients and place on high heat. You can do this on the stovetop if you don’t have a crockpot, however it’s nice to have it warm throughout the day when people come and go - plus it makes your kitchen smell delicious!
